Historically, Gallas reinvested to grow, improve and strengthen our business through equipment acquisitions, facility improvements and training our people. Ever striving to improve our services and quality for our clients, in 2011, we made a substantial investment. We committed to both Lean Manufacturing and ISO 9001:2008 standards.
The Lean and ISO 9001:2008 standards studied every aspect of our business — from our first contact with a client to loading labels on the dock for delivery. Using empirical methods, the data helped us reset our procedures to achieve our goals. It challenged us to analyze accepted ideas, explore new processes and technologies. The initiative’s result is increased efficiency and decreased waste — which translates into minimizing costs and heightening quality for our clients. It was apparent that a branding initiative would also occur. In 2012, Andrews Decal Company changed its name to one of the original investors and current owner, Gallas, and became “Gallas Label & Decal.”
The diligence we invested into our future not only sparked new processes and a name change. It earned us outstanding credibility. In 2013, Gallas was awarded ISO 9001:2008 certification—and was proud to be the only label printer in Chicago to do so. In 2018 Gallas achieved their certification renewal to the ISO 9001:2015 standards. Our clients count on custom products that meet the highest international benchmarks for safety, reliability and quality. Certification ensures that’s what they receive. In fact, the time we invested in Gallas protects our client’s investment as well.
